Day 7

Two weeks down. Yea! Hopefully only 1 more to go.

Yesterday was an ok day for Jim. He tried to take pain medication for his mouth and throat, so he spent most of the day snowed. He doesn't enjoy that.

Today, he is probably going be put on a pca pump (patient controlled pain meds) so hopefully he will not be as snowed. The doctors tell us that usually the mouth and throat will heal when the counts start to come up. So, we wait for that. This morning he has taken his walk and is in the shower. He will need a rest after that. He is pretty weak.

Kids are very happy. Their Nanna is at the house so they are good.

Have a great day!

  1. Dear Jim, Suzanne, and family,
We have been reading your blog to see how you are doing. We just wanted you to know that you're loved and we are praying for you. May our Heavenly Father give you the strength, comfort and peace that you need. You are amazing, inspiring and a great example to us all. Remember that at the end of the storm there's a golden sky.
    Love,
    Jeff and Marie Shepherd :)

  3. You know Jim, every time I have the opportunity to visit you in the hospital I come away with such a great sense of awe and thanksgiving. I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful family. We all love you so much, and I think we all feel so blessed to have you as an uncle, brother, father, husband and son.
I love that we often attribute so much of who we are ourselves to our parents. Grandma and grandpa as surely looking down with everyone else thinking, "keep it up! You're doing fine." What more can we ask for from our families other than to love us and keep our heads up while treading in deep waters. I know that you, Jim, and you, Suzanne, do that for so many including me.
With a lot of laughter, a whole lot of music, and even more love, we truly can do so much. Thank you for providing so much of those to all of us.
Not going to lie, can't wait till we can go fishing and caching so hurry those counts along!!! ;)
